Apex Travel Medicine is a full service international travel health facility located in the Central Business District of the nation’s capital. We are a designated CDC Yellow Fever vaccination center providing all pre and post travel health consultation services including vaccinations and prophylactic prescriptions for common travel related ailments. As a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM), an organization of travel health providers that is dedicated to the advancement of travel medical services, we meet and confer with world renowned travel medicine experts to keep informed and stay abreast with the latest in research and treatment options.
Our clinicians are up-to-date with health issues, disease outbreaks, epidemics and disasters so that we can address and respond to their impact on your health and wellbeing when you are getting ready to travel overseas and while you are overseas.
We also monitor governmental and regulatory agencies and bodies such as the CDC, WHO and the US State Department to keep updated on information that may be pertinent and beneficial to the traveler.
We offer affordable, reasonable and competitive pricing for our vaccine services. Payment is required at the time of service. There is always a $50 consultation fee for all visits in addition to the cost of each individual vaccine you receive.
Ideally, the recommendation is to make your travel health appointment 4 to 6 weeks prior to your departure date. Some vaccines are given in series and may take about 6 weeks to complete. You must still see a travel health specialist even when you have less than the recommended 4 to 6 weeks to travel.
Please note that we do not accept health insurance for travel related services.
Travel services must be paid for at the time of your visit.
You will be given an invoice which has all the billing codes needed to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. We accept the following forms of payment: Cash
